Texas Rural Septic Tank Requirements:
In order to start the construction of your septic tank you will need an "Authorization to Construct an On-Site Sewage Facility" from your local representative of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
To obtain this, you will need to submit the following:
Once the permit is obtained, the system must be completed within one year. Once the system is finished, it will need to pass a final inspection before the it can legally be used.

- A Legal Description of the Property
- A Scale Drawing of the Structures Within the Property
- Soil Tests from the Property
- A Fee
